About our Hall

During the Covid pandemic, we took the opportunity to give our hall a well-deserved refresh, making it modern and more pleasing to the eyes. We’ve created a warm and friendly space, accessible to all.
Our kitchen is very well equipped, complete with 2 commercial Hobart dishwashers, deep stainless steel sinks, new refrigerator and cooler and top of line cooktop and ovens. It doesn’t end there as we have all the pots, dishes, silverware, etc., to bring all your requirements together.
The hall itself is bright and spacious, cozy enough for card parties and showers, large enough for receptions and business luncheons. On site you will find a pull-down white screen, wireless PA system, air conditioning, comfy fabric chairs, an AED, and easy to set up tables, both long and card size.
In accordance with the National Fire Code of Canada and the Fire Inspector of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, we can host the following:

175 persons – with non-fixed tables and chairs
221 persons – with non-fixed chairs
138 persons – involving liquor license functions

The hall is managed by the Pleasantville & District Fire Department and we ask that you adhere to the rules and regulations as stated on this website. Please be respectful of our entire premises and check our on-line calendar for availability.

Hall Booking Info

There are two main steps to renting our hall:

  • Step 1: Select the day(s) you wish to rent the hall on the online calendar on this page. Fill out the requested information and then select “Send” at the bottom of the requested information.
  • Step 2: Select the “PDFD Hall Rental Charges and Agreement” button below and fill out the online form. Select Submit when it’s completed.

With those two steps completed we will review and get back to you as quickly as we can. If you don’t hear from us within 1 week please follow up at our rental email, hallrental@pdfd.ca

Using our facility confirms you agree to all of our terms and conditions. Any deposit required must also be provided before your agreement is confirmed
